Shapes and Color
One of my favorite kinds of photography is using color and shapes to create an abstract photograph like the one posted here. The possibilities are endless.:)

Re: Shapes and Color
awesomely simple, great colors. I like how the lamp seems to be right on..what a strange picture, I dont know what to say for critique, but I like how the slight angle on the window does give this flat image depth. Very abstract, I like.

Re: Shapes and Color
Neat image, Louis1. Outside my normal subject matter, but it did hold my attention.
My first impression was that the window and light should have both been shot straight on. Letting only the shadow give the clue to the 3rd dimension.
But the more I look at it, the more the angle gives it more stress, more unbalance, more tension.
Nice job.

Excellent. So little to look at, in a way, but it holds the attention so well. Lovely compatible colours and the angle is very sucessful. Very well seen.

Re: Shapes and Color
Super image - I know it's been done before, but this is really very good. Just goes to show that the best images are often the simplest. I really can't find anything to criticise.

Re: Shapes and Color
Thanks everyone for the nice comments. I really appreciate you taking the time to do that,
I love these kinds of abstracts. I probably have waaaay too many but I just needed a break from the usual landscape, macro stuff I usually shoot. Besides, these kinds of photos make me think when I look at a potential image. For me that's always a plus, to think outside my comfort area. Here's another one. I'll stop with these now so you guys don't ban me. LOL
This was taken at a mall with a very long lens to compress the dof.
