Re: Serbia photos
I like the pig roasting one. The woman that's looking away makes me feel like cooking that whole pig is normal. What I would've liked to seen is a bit shallower DOF so that the pig is in focus, but the woman is not.

Re: Serbia photos
Well that really depends, for me roasting the pig is normal... :D
I agree about the depth of field, although i like the 1st the way it is...no changes...
As for the second, i would only keep the fisherman...cropping out the other guy... i think would make of a more interesting shot!
Great shots so far Dejan....

Re: Serbia photos
I am finding the first shot extremely horrific and I am disturbed by what can happen to an animal for a slice of bacon.
I think it is good that people can see this, so your photograph is informative.
There is a good photograph to be had in the fishing one. But the presence of the person on the left renders this as a snap shot to me.
Sorry I cannot be more positive on these.

Re: Serbia photos
It appears that your first photo is quite effective, considering the emotion it invoked below. Bacon lovers, on the other hand, are probably salivating right now wishing they were there to share in the feast. :)
I'm not sure what to make of the second photo, except to say that perhaps it's the proverbial "the one that got away" kind of picture.
I would imagine that Serbia would provide a wealth of photographic opportunities. I would like to see more.

Re: Serbia photos
Tom, i know you are not suggesting we all become vegetarians are you? :D
These animals are not tortured, for there is no pleasure in doing so, in this part of the world, a fast and effective prep is what is required... Like shrackman said, the 1st photo is quite effective in evoking emotion, however, if seen in context, it is also a very nicely shot photo...
Bacon is not considered as a treat as it may be elsewhere.... this not for the love of bacon, but for a very special occasion (that's what i think anyway...from what i know)

Re: Serbia photos
That first photo would be a revelation for most western children nowadays, who don't seem to know where food comes from. I like it, my initial impression was very good.
Emotionally it works.
But technically, looking again it seems the highlight on the pig's head is overexposed.
If it was taken with RAW then you could perhaps recover the detail there?
The second photo I imnediately got "the one that got away" reference, but then noticed the chairs and person sitting in the distance behind his outstretched arms, and that spoiled it for me.
