Seeing the light
Hey All -- once again, it's been a while. Too many things going on! Last night I took a shot of my youngest son playing with a light in a dark room. It's very grainy given that the room itself was pitch black and I shot it at 1600 pushed 3 stops :)
Minor adjustments in PS to lighten it a bit. Is there too much noise? Is it too grey and not black enough? Should I have used some sort of spot light to highlight his face?

Re: Seeing the light
Hi Todd,
I think you have a great shot and wouldn't worry about the "grain". It adds an abstractness that may contribute to what you are trying to say.
One idea to try would be to crop it in way tight akin to "god looking at earth" type thing.
Cheers,
Tim

Re: Seeing the light
I really like this photo...it's kinda creepy in a way. The way his face is appearing out of the blackness just gives it a unique feel. The crazy futuristic blinking gyroscope thingy really adds a great quality to the picture. I feel as if I'm looking at some sort of thing used in the first Star Trek series.
Great job in a REALLLY hard photo situation. I won't change a thing.
Cheers.
