Good subject for black & white, and good DOF. Appears noisy though.

Thank you for your response. What is now called "noise" is actually grain. This was shot on B&W film and grain is an intrinsic and aesthetic nature of that medium. I occasionally shoot in digital and add grain or "noise" to achieve the effects of film...because in most cases, especially in street shots, the smooth appearance of digital is, to me, a detriment to a photograph's appeal. Extreme grain in some cases can be a negative aspect and it is nice to have smoothening software available in my digital darkroom (I use NeatImage) - but rarely will I choose to eliminate grain completely.

    Hi Tuna,
The shot has a strong feeling of anonymity. The face of the lady is not well seen; the background is blurred. I wish to know what the woman is doing.

Very nice, timeless study. Not knowing what is entertaining everyone pulls us in.
I wonder if burning in that white shirt could strengthen it? Since the shirt is immediately adjacent to the interesting subject, it may not be that much of a distraction.
