    Sam, I am

Got this yesterday of one of our two dogs. He's Sam, and he was enjoying a lazy moment.

Nice profile. Might want to pose him farther away from the wall though and use a wider aperature. If he cooperates. Also, I'd either zoom in or zoom out. Good overall exposure, if not a tad hot around the jaw.

Thanks, GB. Appreciate the suggestion. I'll try another one later.

I'll agree with having Sam further away from the wall getting rid of the shadow. I also feel like i would want to see the whole of Sams ear. Great looking dog.

    What GB and Gary said.

I'd also add that I am not found of the strong flash (well I just plain dislike flash, I hardly ever use it but that is a personal thing). In this case the exposure is ok as nothing is blown out but I get the feeling that Sam is too bright. I'd try adjusting the strenght of the flash (you can do that on the D70 by playing with the built in flash options).

I think the expression is interesting, but the angle, background and flash, tend to make it look a little snap-shotty, if you know what I mean.
