    Some more night shots

All of the night shots posted lately inspired me to get out and try some myself last night. This is downtown Conway, S.C.

    All C&C are appreciated.

    Take care,
    Joe

The second image works well and I think you have a great exposure here, the scene is perhaps a little empty but I love the lighting overall.

Hmm. I would crop in on the upper photo to where the main neon signs are. This would elim the tops of the vehicles, which I don't believe add to the nightlife feeling.

The bottom shot is technically sound, but it would be great if it had one more important thing: some people in the shot. Walking, blurred, one or two at least, several would be better. Some red clothing on them too. Just needs it because w/o some human element it just seems cold and deserted.

Thank you both for the excellent feedback. This is my home town and I do plan on re-visiting these scenes.

I think the restaurant image is too well lit and doesn't have that much interesting in it.

The theatre image has great colors but you either need more or less at the bottom. As it is the cars are chopped off but they are there drawing the viewers attention away from the great neon.
    No, I DON'T need that.

    joemags,
Technically, both these shots are excellent. The neon lights really add lots of color. But, as mentioned earlier, they both lack a subject. In one, it could have been one of the cars. In the other, it could have been a chair or people walking by. Hope this helps.

I think I would have put the cars in the first one, just hanging out of the frame hurts the shot. The exposure, colors and subject are really good. In the second one a little wider with someone setting at the chairs would help. The bench in the lower left needs cloned. If you reshoot take someone with you to sit in the chairs. Nice work and I hope to see more.

Thanks again everyone. You all have me itching to get back down there to try to improve upon these. Thanks for all the ideas and feedback.
