    Rust never sleeps

I shot this against bright sunlight, What ya think? I was surprised at the shadow details.
I recently updated the firmware on the D80. These were test shots in the 3D matrix metering mode.Seems to be working 100% better.

Full res. monsters in my gallery.

Nice shot Rick. I just knew it was going to be a picture of a Chevy. I think I would clone the bottom of the second one.

You did pretty good with awful light but you can't get around the fact that it was just plain bad light.

BTW I actually like the bit of background in the second image, it adds a sense of place to the shot.
    No, I DON'T need that.

    Re: Rust never sleeps

I agree that the sun was on the wrong side or something. But the detail is OK, considering. However, the background is a bit unexciting, and the angle of the Rex in the pic might be a tad conventional. Not that it's a bad shot but it does appear to be more of a "I was here, took a shot of this attraction" photograph than a classical one. All depends what you are looking for. I think it works great for memories.
