Re: Rush hour in Duck City
Oh man, too bad that head is directly in front of the duck you were focusing on. I really like the idea here but I want to see all of the in focus birds bill.
Re: Rush hour in Duck City
I like this. I felt the same as MB1 about the out of focus Duck in the fg, but after looking some more I actually think it works just the way you caught it. The out of focus head gives the feel of the tight chaotic scramble and hustle of a Rush hour scene. It sort of reminds me of photos and images I have seen in the past of City rush hour and the image would have thousands of people walking the sidewalks and there would be the focus on a particuliar person who was not completely seen in the shot because of out of focus persons in front.
This would most likely work either way, with or without the fg duck but as it is now i find it very effective.
Good stuff, AE
Re: Rush hour in Duck City
Personally I like the "lost in the rush hour traffic look". If the front duck wasn't there it would change the entire picture to "a duck leading the way". I do think that if the leading duck was a little more recognizable that I would have liked it even more. I really like this picture, Jeff

BTW are those real ducks?

Yes, I agree. I think the issue with it is most likely that the out of focus duck in front is a bit too out of focus. A bit sharper and it would be spot on. Still, enjoyable.

Thank you guys!
MB1, those are real ducks.

AgingEyes - I love it. The focus on the one duck is great.
