Very nice, the start and stop of the motion is perfect. The only problem I see is that the lights (and over lit white fence) are extremely distracting. If possible, it may be good to attempt to dark that area of the photo.

Another solution may be to take two photos and stitch them together using an HDR (high dynamic range) tool. You would need to take a photo that is adjusted for the bright background, then your second photo that is adjusted for the coaster. I have not had acceptable results in my attempts at this, so it may be bad advice :)

Thanks for the input, it's what I need. I only have the free Picasa software for editing but there is a new feature..... Retouch..WOOHOO!

Cool shot, and nice motion capture. Dunno much about picassa, but most editors give you the option to select and area within the photo (in this case - the fence) and then either darken or if available burn it in a little, or colorize it to minimize that "blazing" white chunk of photo real estate.

Aside from the above, I think the top of the loop is too close to the frame and I'd like to see more room up there.
    Cool shot though.

I think the horizontal set of tracks on bottom really brings the photo together and the newer photo looks less complete. It is a good editting job as far as the light tower, though :) One thing I've tried with varying success is to use the polygonal selection tool and feather it out then darken that area instead of trying to straight erase something.

This reminds me of goin to Cedar Point, OH as a kid. Thanx for bringing back some great memories. The second immage is much better, by minimizing the white you really bring all of the attention to the rollar coaster. Good Job!!!
