    when I grow up ...

Can't see really that this is going to be a good one whatever I do, because of having to shoot into the light. Fill flash at that distance wasn't an option, unfortunately.
Maybe I can selectively work on the shadows, but then there's ths girl behing.
I reckon these are just a nice snapshot, nothing more - pity

BUT for the future, which is best?
Subject (the youngest) on the left, or the right?

Re: when I grow up ...

    Hi,
I think the first shot is better. The vantage point comes from the little girl mimicking the gesture of her senior. Her expression is very cute. Both the girls are importnt in the shot; one is a subject and the other is an object. Nice shot!

Re: when I grow up ...

i like the one with youngster on the right. It shows her face more, which to me is what matters most. As far as the one in her in the left, it could be just about any old girl, so it doens't tell me most. the mimicking part to me is not really anything special. To me it's more special the one where the younger is on the right, imo.
Yes, you're right these are just snapshots. I don't find the angles specially appealing and the lighting is not very good. Maybe try a different angle next time, and focus more on the main subject, instead of including more than one. It's distracting and it doesn't let me know what is special and who i'm supposed to focus on, unless you tell me. If the girl is in your family or something, you want to be able to see her face a lot more in the photo too. Faces are what distinguishes each and every one of us, not bodies. Put a body without a face, and it could be any number of million people out there, but put only a face, and it will still be a unique person. So get closer on the gir, and focus on her and maybe her dress etc, but try not to have more than one subject. And remember, this is In my opinion.

Shadows and highlights adjustment in Photoshop CS2.

If you took these in RAW, can you send me the RAW images and THM files zipped up, would like to have a go at getting these to a level you might be happy with, if you would like me to try that is.
