Seriously. I worry about you. Your obsession with this sort of imagery leads one to believe that there are some serious things bouncing around your head.
Somehow, I always brace myself before opening your threads!
Once again, I like the idea of the red bleeding out from the flower. I like the minimalist composition, even though I am not convinced that you needed to crop the taps.
When will we see pics of little birdies and butterflies?... And I am not talking about road-kills or squished bugs!
No seriously, I hope you got over all the bad stuff from two months ago. I like your pics because they are pretty emotional, like a punch in the stomach. I hope it's just something you like to experience with, and that it does not reflect your actual frame of mind.
But I gotta say the image is fairly well done. My two suggestions are dont crop the faucet handles and make the rose stand out a little bit more... If your intention is to show pain steming from beauty (which is how I'm interpreting this, correct me if I'm wrong), you have to make the rose stand out to the veiwer. Right now it seems like an afterthought to the blood.
I do like the thought behind the pics. Very emotional and with a nice disturbing edge. Great!
On the techy side I have to agreee with what has been said, Don't crop the faucet so much and more attention to the rose. This picture is much better than the last couple of pics in the series.
My one major complaint, is that a candy heart in the sink? This really makes the 'art' way to cheesy and kinda less serious. The message is apparent.
I wouldn't worry about her, it might be the path to greatness. Have you ever seen any art by Bosch? Now that's stuff to worry about!
Anyway, on a more serious note I agree with the comments made. Poor lighting, lack of focus on the rose and the crop of the TAPS (what exactly is a faucet ;) ) detract from the picture. Ditto the candy heart comment. I also think the "blood" has too much orange in it.
Other than that, you really are determined to capture this love-lost theme in an image aren't you? I guess if it's your photographic holy grail then I suggest you keep trying; in this photograph your imagery is almost complete.
