A little more DOF would of helped greatly. Other than that it's a good shoot.

Re: Reflection
This is nice...the colors are vibrant. The only thing I wish is that the butterfly that is the "reflection", that the whole of its wings were in the frame. But other than that, I think this is a nice capture. :)

Re: Reflection
Interesting image. It took me a while to figure out what seemed different about this image and realized that the title might be misleading; it’s not a reflection but two butterflies back to back. The fact that it is not a reflection doesn’t affect the quality of the image; I’m actually more impressed. The composition is excellent as is the depth of field and use of color.
I like the fact that you could pull some interesting meanings from this; i.e. the butterfly reflection is larger and so it has an ego problem. I am not inferring that this was the intent or that there was any intent, just one of a few things I see when viewing the image.
So enough babbling, bottom line is this is a good image.

Phil

Re: Reflection
I would have to agree with Emily on this one... Other than the cropped wings, i really love this image...
Phil - i would even take it a little further and say there is an internal conflict between the ego and the modest that's why they have their backs turned to each other.. :D

Re: Reflection
Female at the back, she's larger as she carries the eggs.
Would have been interesting to catch them side on, so that you can see the size difference more clearly.
But then you'd lose the antennae as they'd almost certainly be out of the plane of focus.

Re: Reflection
try to frame the image better and again take more than one shot with slightly different frames and angles..
