    Re: Reflect
I might change the title to Reflection which says more, to me, about the dual reflection going on - in the water and with the couple. To this end, I think I would also try cropping some off of the left side to decenter the boat as well as bring the couple more into the image. - Terry

    Re: Reflect
The light on the couple is really really nice

I'll crop some form the bottom too

That way the boat remains nicely framed between tree branches and the couple appears to be looking at the boat through the gap of the trees

Sort of a different perspective, but with that amount of wind around you could only reflect on yachting.

A beautiful wondrous scene, Roger. I think the crop should be much tighter to make the couple and the boat on the water much more impactful and more the focus of the image.
I would crop away the dark trunks on the left and crop up from the bottom just to the green area under the bench. Also increase exposure in the shadow areas a bit more.
    Excellent scene and moment here.

just read Terrys suggestion on the crop, and would agree.

    Thanks to all

Cropped as suggested and I agree it is now much better.

Terry - agreed much better title.

Gary - increased the exposure into the shadows - hope I didn't go to far.

Looks great. I think its an improvement to an already good image. The exposure adjustment is just right as well.

    Re: Reflect
Hi Roger - the reworking really does the business. When I first looked at it I wondered about cropping and improving the shadows - now that you have done that it is a first class image. And, yes, the two people turns it from an OK image into an excellent one.

    Cheers

I am surprised just how much improvement the crop made :thumbsup: and the adjustments also added a lot to this. I really like the composition and overall image very much now and agree with Mike that with the adjustments you have stepped it up to a really first class image, Jeff

    Re: Reflect
The crop is stronger. It's not super sharp but hopefully this is just a resizing issue. Looks like it could benefit from HDR to increase shadow data, but since things would have to be static when you shoot multiple shots this might not be practical here (unless you shoot very fast).

Strange how familiar this place looks ... reminds me of a small lake in Maryland.

Thank you so much for the help. The original had minor contrast and saturation done to it and thanks to you all it is now a far superior picture.

    Thank you for the help.

PS. GB - its a resizing issue and the print is very sharp.
