    Where haze is my friend

I really like how the haze has softened the mountains, and picked up the rays of the sunset. The only thing I've done to this in photoshop is unsharp mask and crop.

Even though I like the effect on the mountains, is it too soft, overall?

    Hi,
I like this shot alot. I am new to phtography but have already got a bit of a soft spot for sunsets. The colours can be quite fantastic.

Great capture of the sunset, gives ya that real romantic feel. The only thing the really stands out to me as a possible improvement would be an increase in detail to the ledge just ahead of you, but I know that's probably hard considering the light coming in from the sun. The effect on the mountains is great, really shifts your focus up to the sunset...love the shot!

Actually, the "ledge" is a bunch of ugly city: dockyards, industrial buildings, etc. I would have loved to have been able to crop it out completely, but can't without losing the water, which the shot needs. I already cropped as much as I felt I could.

So as it is, the "ledge" implies forest, which is a great improvement, IMO.
