    Orange Crush

Just messing around with different techniques.

Edit: Forgot to mention that I know I should have had it on a black background, I completely forgot about it.... until I uploaded the pictures to the computer.

I like everything except for the splash going off frame at the top.

Great effect. It takes a bit to get this stuff as good as you did!

    Some suggestions:

    - As Frog noted, the splash should stay within the frame.
    - The bottom of the glass and the table is too flat and geometric
    - The background should be a flat color and unnoticeable - the one here really hurts the photo. You should probably do this stuff in a studio to eliminate any other stuff.
    - Maybe shooting more from above would be better too.

    Thanks for the comments!

Next time I try (when I get a remote release... assistants get bored) I will have to try everything that was stated. I shot this one on my deck railing straight on, so next time I will remember my black background and shoot it on my bench at a downward angle and try to get the zoom/splash right so it stays in frame. I may have to invest in a better, rounder container as well... this was the only one I could find at the time.
