Re: Re-processing Fine Art
you may want to add a disclaimer for the nudity...just sayin'.
I prefer the toning of the re-do.

Cheers N8, thanks for the heads-up. Didn't think of it.

The sepia and vignette work much better, but there's still something funky going on with those jeans. Try using the patch tool if you're working with photoshop.
[Edit] After conferring with ShootMe via PM, he gave permission to illustrate how the patch tool is used to correct the blue jean anomalies. Under the healing brush flyout in Photoshop, you'll find the "patch" tool (looks like a patch). Use the cursor to outline the area you're having a problem with. When you connect again at the beginning you have a selection much like what you see when using the lasso tool. put the cursor in the middle of the selection hold the left mouse button down, and drag the mouse to an area that has a cleaner texture and similar (doesn't need to be exact - just kind of close). Then release the mouse button and it will replace the original selection's texture with that of the new area. Be careful when right next to drastic color changes as it feathers the selection and may pull some of the opposing color into your selection in the process. This tool is also awesome for getting rid of shiny foreheads, noses, and heavy duty skin retouching!

An amazing improvement jetrim, thanks for your help and the lesson in photoshop.

As you know Pete, i like what you did with the processing. I liked the shot to begin with as it already has a sorta 70's retro feel.
Jim, good work with the patch tool mini tutorial :) I use the patch tool quite a bit for various situations and as you pointed out there are some things to beware of when using it. Always a good idea to use it on a duplicate layer as well as it sometimes leaves a fine outline of the patch that can easily be erased away from the layer with the eraser brush.

I'll give the patch tool a try on the weekend and see how I go, I've never used it so it will be a great trial for me. Thanks again.

You Know I Really Dug The Shot To Begin With;)
And I Still Like It Better...The Only Problem I Had With The Old One Over The Redo Is That Couch Or Whatever The Object Is Behind Her~Nods~
The Redo Is Vintage Looking, But The Subject Doesn't Correspond To That Imagery...The Belt Is Too Modern And The Blue Jeans Too New.
I Like The Image Originally:thumbsup:
