    Pug pics

    This was the first time I've been able to use my new extension tubes. I've never done closeup stuff before. I figured I'd use my little pup, Layla for a model. Notice the cute heart-shaped wrinkle on her forehead ;)

    I know there are some definite focus problems on all of them, but I'd still like to get some feedback and critique. Thanks in advance.

    You'll have to excuse the lousy scans...our scanner needs to be replaced...

    Honestly, I think you posted too many pictures for me to be able to give a good critique. If you did just one at a time, you could collect more detailed feedback on each one.

    That being said, I like the concepts here, and your backgrounds are pretty good except for the first one. The DOF is too shallow in most of these -- this is particularly evident in the second photo, where the dog's leg eye (on the right for us viewers) is out of focus.
