    Happy Thoughts

This is my Friend Mike. I did use the spot healing tool in PS to get the random pimple out that us teenagers get. Also just so you guys know. This was shot at ISO 1000 on a D70s. The D70s does have decent higher ISO as long as you overexpose the tiniest bit. On mine I did a +0.7 exposure compensation.

    What do you Think?

A very good shot. Effective lighting. Good separation of head and hair from the background. I am surprised to say this, but it is actually too sharp in some areas. I can even see where he could have shaved better. While keeping the eyes, hair and some other areas sharp, portrait specialists tend to slightly soften the sharpness of the skin in facial areas to avoid showing pores and slight bumps in the skin. This is done in Photoshop using a very low level of gaussian blur or a softening function in another editor but selectively....not the whole photo.
