    Monochrome...

with an accent. I dug this out of the archives from several years ago, I've always though it had potential. What do you think?

    I learn by critiquing.
    I think its almost great.
I have some problem with the position of the horse and wish it wasn't in such a dominant position.
Is it actually a b&w or were there just no colors?

No it's in color, it was immediately after a snowstorm and when I saw the Brown horse I stopped and shot this photo. I have a warmer version where the horses brown color shows up better, but I like the cool snow.

I like this... I can almost feel the frosty air, and I'm sure it is tough to get a horse to pose cooperatively, so you shoot where he is. I do wish I could see a little more detail of the horse, though, and a pleasant brown color would add a nice contrast.

    Re: Monochrome...

The horse seems a bit small and out of place to me. It may be my monitor but the horse seems underexposed and lacks detail compared to the rest of the picture, which is a wonderful winter picture and could stand on it's own without the horse. Also it has a stick or limb coming out of his rear. Maybe some PS work on that . IMO
