    An Image, Revisitied...

I had a conversation recently with a group of photographers that had never seen my work before. Of all the images I showed them they were most taken with my Holga stuff, in particular my "Single Track Dreams" images. That conversation caused me to revisit one image. The image that most of you know was heavily cropped and looking back made the image look like a bad double exposure. So I am including both versions of this image.
    Which is better?
Thanks to Hodgy for sharing his borders technique!

I like the second one. It's more complete.

It actually reminds me of a postage stamp.

I like the second one except for the distraction of the border. There's more room in front of the rider and I like how the wheel surrounds the rider. Very nice overall effect.

    The reason why...

I cropped this as much as I did, because in the extreme upper left corner of the second image is a scratch on the negative. So in order to get rid of it, when I first printed it in the darkroom, I cropped it out.
I like "sloppy boarders" with my Holga stuff, and this was the best I could come up with.

I like the second image best, but do not care for the border. Good image.
