Playing with Sun light on Face

Here is a b/w portrait I took in the late morning sun.
I love shadows, and I love the way it lined his profile.

Any thoughts? What could be improved? Does the crop work, or do you want to see more?

it is a very nice picture although it would be nice if in the upper left corner his face waent so overexposed so you could see at very least the outline of his face. The other thing is the slight haze coming off of his cheek

but besides that, great picture, i like the crop work

I like the crop, my first reaction was that I wanted to see a bit more of his chin, but thats just personal choice, this works, very cute by the way!

    Thanks Clicker!
I have another version with more ear, chin and head.
Thats why I asked if the crop worked or if it made you want to see more
Maybe I'll post that one too.

Here it is. Im not as fond of it as I am the cropped one. I could have gone easier on the chin. Infact, I didnt realize it until you pointed it out Click.

Decision made! Yes i really like the top crop...as is.

It puts so much focus on his little baby eyes!

    Hey Villenadecorte,
I like the original close up post. Looks good as it is with the blown out upper area and grainy look. This shot has a hard edge to it and it is effective. I like the shot. Is this Toofy Toofer?

Cropping that chin was just a mother wanting to wipe up a little drool.

I like the tighter crop and I don't mind the harsh backlighting blowing out the forehead. I think the abstract shapes in this shot are what make it a grabber.

Chunk thanks That is funny. Wiping the drool. haha. Actually Im never one to wipe it up cause its cute to me
Thanks for your compliments, I too really loved the blown out upper left and think it adds to the picture. Hence, I do a lot like that with the sun- the sun is one of my favorite tools.

    Thanks Gary,
You got me- as I a want the blown-out look, and as I mentioned before why I play with sun shots a lot.
This would be Toofy Toofer here- but it will be four toofers soon, oh an he bites more now. Ow.

Thanks, Bobby for your time to look and comment.
