Hello Tuna, I think that the second and the fourth one are quite brilliant in their own way.
The little girl in the second one is quite an actress! As for the fourth one, I like the feel of speed and the background is most photogenic.

I am not sure about the top of the ladder being cut in the first one. I like how you catched the action but the framing distract me.

I think that I enjoy the third one although this lonely arm is somewhat challenging. Somehow it's almost creepy but I like the effect.

Finally, I think that the fifth one is really well crafted as well. I like how the two toys mimic each others. The angle is nice. If I had to be picky I'd say that the table is too close from the top of the frame but it pretty much blend in the background so it's not such an issue.

The tonal range is excellent in all the pictures.

Tuna, as Seb stated the tonal range is excellent in all the shots. I did not feel at firsat that the crop for the top image was effective, but the more i view it i do feel it works rather well. It is also, in my opinion, the strongest of the series. I must say that i'm not feeling too strongly about the rest of the images, and i know your compositions are thought through and deliberate and so i will not try to critique on that issue, other than maybe I just am not "getting" it for now. I think it is a great idea for a series, and your off to a good start.

Seb, Gary - thank you for your usual well-thought-out and insightful comments and critique. It is always nice to see my work through other experienced eyes.

#2, previously posted here as "Playground Dreams", is one of my more satisfying captures. As for the rest, I didn't feel they stood alone nearly as well and thought to post them together as a free flow of connected images taken in a short span of time.

    Tuna,

When looking at these I instantly remembered the Stepford Wives and Lord of the Flies films - they seem to have that creepyness to them. Its all down to your composition and the B&W which you do so well.

I agree with you they work brilliantly as a series but I also think they would stand alone except for the top photo and the swings.

Ending with the little girl on her own by the rocking Panda seems to make it even more surreal as if she is now the only person left on the planet.

Brilliantly done - ever thought of doing a horror movie?
