Other than the color cast, I think it looks fine.

Do you think the frame helps your shot?

Nice still life, and I like the frame for this type subject.

Nice idea! The upper part looks better than the bottom somehow. I think you really need detail in the bottom area, and it seems to be missing here. Did you use a tripod? Can you sharpen it up a bit? I love the lighting on the top but it does seem a tad hot on the apple part.

All the detail that is in the pineapple is there. It is pin sharp. Yes I use a tripod, together with remote release. The raw was saved as a tiff, razor sharp, then given one round of sharpening. I have a framing script that resizes, converts to jpeg, applies an unsharp mask and frame. Hot on the apple part?

It doesn't like that sharp to me Dave, and I'm looking at it on another monitor right now, too. No real definition it seems. Loss of detail on the bright areas, but like I mentioned it's OK on the top leaves but doesn't look right on the bottom. Maybe the side lighting is too extreme for such a subject. Not sure what else to add cept that I like the shot overall.
