    pine needle with water drop

Taken with Nikon 18-55mm VR with close up filters. I took this a while ago on a rainy day but I just joined this forum a few days ago so I thought I'd upload it to see what you guys think. Its not black and white by the way it was just a very gloomy day but i think it works with a desaturated look to it.

Nice. Hard to tell sometimes how a macro will turn out until you see it at a decent size.
I like the lack of color and being almost b/w.
Composition rules say not to center the subject but I think it works here.
I'm sure some will say the bright area on right is distracting but I'm not sure.
I would like the pine needle to have a bit more light.
I would try some different crops, also.
    Keep Shooting!

Totally dig the bokeh. I do think it's a little dark, but getting the needle and overall shot a bit brighter without blowing out the water drop might be hard.

I have the raw file. I can try to brighten it up a small bit in Photoshop. Also, where would you suggest i crop this?
