I love the tack sharp detail in this wonderful composition.One can actually feel the balance that exists here. Quite impressive results.

The lens is a Tamron 28-300 with my XTi. The dragon fly was quite cooperative and posed for me for quite some time. I had a monopod with me walking along the edge of a lake in northern Minnesota this past Tuesday, late afternoon. I was able to get within inches of the "fly" for this shot.

Great shot. Almost seems classical. What is the dragonfly holding onto? Seems like an upside down icicle (not likely!)
