    My Dragon

Kind of risky posting another dragon fly with the same subject as the feature photo, but I thought it worth sharing.

You better share this! LOL Fantastic macro work.

I love the tack sharp detail in this wonderful composition. One can actually feel the balance that exists here. Quite impressive results.
What macro lense did you use?Do tell.

    Thank you !

    Rick,

Thanks very much. You are too kind.

The lens is a Tamron 28-300 with my XTi. The dragon fly was quite cooperative and posed for me for quite some time. I had a monopod with me walking along the edge of a lake in northern Minnesota this past Tuesday, late afternoon. I was able to get within inches of the "fly" for this shot.

    Thanks again.

    Re: My Dragon

Great shot. Almost seems classical. What is the dragonfly holding onto? Seems like an upside down icicle (not likely!)

Thanks very much for the comments. To be honest, I don't know what the DF is holding on to but I am certain it is not an icicle. Perhaps in a couple of months, however.

This is just a fantastic shot. I just don't know what else to say. But you were glad you had your camera and monopod. Thanks for sharing.
