    Piglets

I've resumed my 365 project for 2014. This is from day 2. Comments and critique welcomed. Suggestions cheerfully explored.

Cute, perhaps a slight vibrance and contrast increase. Also a dark gradient from the top of those vertical boards might enhance your main POI, which I assume is the one looking a the camera.

Isn't it a cool thing in nature that the colours never seem to clash...

C, This one cries out for a tight crop around the piglets' heads. I would crop it just above the back babe's rear. Really, it's the little guy facing the camera that steals the show, so depending on how sharp it is I would consider cropping to only him/her, using a little wildness with the composition. Nice shot.

    Re: Piglets

Thanks for your thoughts all!! I was dancing around cropping it tighter and doing so takes away the distraction of the slats from the back of the barn so I went with that suggestion. It brings home the eye contact with this little piggy. Thanks HMinx & GB.

Brawsley - Thanks for your input and welcome to the PR forums. I would love to know, specifically what is nice about the first shot if you have the time, (content, comp. exposure, what?). Obviously, 3 month old piglets don't hold still while I recompose or take direction very well but I do have a horizontal shot from the same set which I like and happily add to the pile for review if you choose to review and comment on this one instead.

Agree on the tight crop...I think a square crop would be great, if you have any width on the frame to re-gain, or another capture that still has the same character looking at you. A tight frame of 4, with the "ham" in the back would be neat to see.

Interesting suggestion, so are you saying a crop more like this?

    Re: Piglets

I would suggest just a tiny bit more off the right to get rid of that ear and trotter creeping into the image, though I do like your edit .
