    took this in the arizona desert on sunday evening,

    I didn't record any of the data,but i did lighten it a little in photoshop.

    that's an awesome lightning shot! we had a storm here last week and i was trying to get a decent shot. i was kinda paranoid though because i was 100 feet out over the lake on a dock, and the storm was right above me.

    did you shoot this handheld?

    yes,it was handheld,I had a load of lumber to drop in phoenix on monday,so that is where i stayed for the night,I hear rumbling outside my truck,so I got up out of the sleeper and was happy to see the storm,I went through a really nasty thunderstorm monday night going through las vegas and it was so close,that i was not gonna take a chance and get out of my truck,

    This is a great shot. Love the color! I recently got some shots of cloud-to-cloud lightning, but nothing as impressive as what you have here.

    Gorgeous shot. It looks like the lightening's got it's own little pocket to flash in within the clouds. That the hills seem to be lit up from behind add to their silhouettes in the forefront. Really nice.

    thanks again,it's not very often that i get a chance to relax before i take a pic,so when i parked the truck for the night,i reached in to the sleeper and grabbed the camera and just started taking pics,it was a good night,.
