    Hello Roger.
I see a fire engine here with the driver at his wits end trying to cope with the mayhem all round. Not too sure exactly what the mayhem actually is but I dont need to know because the sum total makes for a really exciting/action picture. The lights on the engine and the flashing blue came out very well as lights very often come out a mess.
Looking forward to hearing where, when and how you got this.

Hello Roger, good execution here. I like the action feel here, the motion blur and the mix of colours. It all comes together to make a pleasing shot. My only concern is about the darker "thing" in the lower left corner. It would be even easier to focus on the truck without this.

    regards

I can almost hear the siren. You've caught the excitement of a fire call. Nice work.

Looks like you were following the truck with a somewhat long exposure? Great effect making for a great shot.

I agree fully. The thing in the left corner takes away from the truck, but also seems to darken the whole picture. To crop him out would be tough, and to recreate this shot is a hard thing to do. Good execution, just some things could be fixed,

What happened next - I was leaning against a five bar gate and the gate post to steady myself for the shot - The reason I got the effect and the person on the left is that a friend opened the gate not realising I was leaning more on the gate than the post and I fell backwards and to the left and he being a really good friend caught me before I hit the ground. Yes just as I hit the go button. So re-creating the photo will be nigh on impossible.

The photo from the Fuji 4700, which takes a while to focus, was taken just as I start to go backwards and to the left hence the person getting into the shot and why everything is going from right to left in the trees.

Was I supprised with what came out of the camera - you have got to believe it.

PS this was during one of the many rallies that we go on with the boat at the top of the Beuleau River where 21 boats moored up for a BbQ and an evening of jolly good fun. The Fire Station which you can see in the background is just opposite the area where we moor. Its a beautiful location.

I will post a photo of some of the boats, taken from half way up the mast, later
