    Flower Taken w/ New Lens

I'm just loving my new Sigma lens! I took a photo of this flower in my inlaw's backyard the other day . . better with or without the orton-style post-processing? Any other ideas that could have made this better? (I would have liked it better if the petals on the right were in better focus . . )

Glad to hear (&see) you are having a good time with your new lens.

Looks like you need to use a smaller aperture (f11 instead of f5.6 for example) to acheive a greater depth of field. That will make the area in focus greater. Macros are known for having a very flat DOF and unless the entire subject is in the same plane there will be a blurred area.
