Other Red-Green-Blue Experiments

Here's the final (for now) batch of red-green-blue filter experiments. All where shot as a triple exposure, each using a different color filter. The film was Kodachrome 64 shot at 200 ASA to compensate for the extra exposure hitting the film.

As you can see anything that moves is a potential subject for the red-green-blue effect. I think a shot of a bunch of people walking past a busy city intersection might also be a decent subject?

Love the sky one and the window. Very neat affects. Talking about the busy intersection, Didache has done a similar shot which is very neat.

That is hot stuff. I like the first and last photographs the most. The sky photograph with the tree taking up a lot of the image works best for me keeping the color change effect to just a portion of the image.

Well worth fooling with a lot more. Alas, I don't think you can do that with digital.

Thanks for the looks, everyone. I am looking for new subjects to photo using this technique. Maybe a spiket dripping drops of water, the bursts at the bottom would look neat if I could time it right. Or someone speaking on a podium. I will have to see.

MB -- I can't see any way to do this in the same way you do on film... Mike's digital splicing worked for him, maybe you can try it. The film way is very susceptible to film plane movement, and it seems that all the cameras (that I've used) do move the film a tad when you recock the shutter. The digital way might be superior in the end.
