    another flower

I shot this on my lunch break today. Wish I had been able to shoot it in the morning as I would have got better light. I think it is a cherry blossom but I could be wrong. Comments please.

Great picture here Ray. I absoluetly love the pinks and red that come throug this picture. The only thing I'd have to 'critique' is the two shoots coming off the main branch. A tad distracting, but regardless, a great shot!

Just crop out the little purple blob in the bottom left corner and it will be beautiful.

    Dear Ray,

I really like the "Spring" feeling in this photo. I agree that better lighting would have helped this photo though. Maybe high noon, or more direct sunlight. Keep up the good work.

Not just 'another flower'. So delicate and I like the little gnarly twig.

I think this is good, as I expect to see when I open a image from you. The little nit piks mentioned by some could help, but I don't think any change is needed here. As you mentioned the lighting isn't ideal, but it does work. The subject here is strong and your composition strong. As Chunk mentioned, that Gnarly little branch is interesting and I like the two little stubs coming out from it. Great dof, and I like the petal on top as it appears to be flipping up in a breeze? This is a pretty picture.

Nice lunchbreaks you have! :-) I'm not into flowers, but your pic is looking very good. The colors are bright and vivid, the DOF is well used.

    Well done,
    Frank

    Re: another flower

Thanks folks! I appreciate the comments. I agree that the smudge of pink in the lower left needs to go. Although there were tons of flowers on this tree, I had a hard time picking the right ones to shoot. I picked this precisely because of the stems...seemed to have given the photo some character. Thanks again for the comments!
