To me it looks likes it over exposed a little. But I think it works.
    Very pretty

Jetrim, i think it's a tad oversharpened. It looks like it's almost like a relief type sculpture, i forgot what they called them, bas relief? The colour, tonal range are nice though.

    Thanks for the nod....:)

Haughty, naughty. You've been playing in PS.....;)
Love look of the water.......How'd you do that. That's not PS;) Can you bring it out a bit more?
Love the comp., so many lilies all horizontal. Nice to good vertical.
Like glassy look on the petals but a bit washed in the highlights.
Looks like the sun was overhead....so it's understandable.

Best waterlily photo I've seen. The only nit I have is the white on the background pad which is blown out.

Perhaps slightly over-exposed. Some petals are burnt. However, the correct composition and chromaticity. Beautiful reflection in water

Nice shot, a little edgy perhaps, with all those geometrics. Maybe a tad oversharpened, as Liban noted.

But to be honest Jet, I think the pedal blowouts render this shot unacceptable. With me, a photo just loses its photographic appeal when I see that, becomes more graphic art. I don't think you can do much about it either, as that information is probably lost (I don't know if a RAW adjustment has this data or if you even shot it in RAW).

Gotta learn to see as a sensor sees. I have heard that film and digital sensors can only handle 3.5 f stops of variation whereas the human eye can handle 11. So what looks good to us in person doesn't always translate well. Need to compress that range using shields, reflectors, different times of day, etc.

The rest was already discussed but to me there is just too much in the frame above the flower that distracts me. I would just like a closer crop, maybe something like this, Jeff

Jetrim, I am just curious what you thought of my crop. Did it take too much away or do you think this could work? You won't bother me if you don't like it that's OK but I would be interested in knowing what you think, Jeff

Jeff, I think it's too centred.

Maybe it is just me but on my screen the flowers favor the left side and more toward the top. Any more would cut out something that needs to stay. All I did was crop some of the top off. Just my way of looking at it, Jeff
