    Green.

Much more vibrant photograph. Nicer pose and a better composition. Really like that one.

    Re: Red or green ?

I would have to go for red on this one. It seems more natural to me (meaning, coming from its natural environment). However, I like the birds head in the green shot.

Thanks for the comments, I do prefer the red one too, even if the green one has very nice clarity/sharpness

    Re: Red or green ?

I like the pose of the scarlet macaw, but I would liked the wing to have been more in focus. I suspect available light had a bit to do with aperture here but its still a very nice shot . The second bird reminds me of someone that has been caught in the act of doing something they shouldn't......

Isn't it a cool thing in nature that the colours never seem to clash...

    Thanks!

The green bird stayed put as long as was shooting, the red one was moving all the time towards me, most have thought I had food

I like the green one. There is something in that photo that stirs my brain...I think its the expression, they eye. I want to put captions of all sorts to that bird, haha. They are both great photos, wow! The green one though, I'd put that on a wall!

    Re: Red or green ?

Armando - I prefer the top red parrot. They are both good but perhaps it's because that image is sharper that I like it better. Nice shots here, but try using a deeper DOF if you can (I know .. low light dictates what you can do! I already see the grain starting to show here)

    Re: Red or green ?

Greg yes I could have used more DOF on both
#1 I had more than enough light
#2 hmm, maybe , this is a crop, smaller aperture, higher iso , hmm, I'm not sure

    Thanks VSS

Green for me. I like it that the eye is closer.

Green, vibrant color, excellent shadows, bokeh. The first one has some high noon light.
