Darn, I though it was going to be some kind of sandwich!

Oh, the photos? I like the reflections in the guitar body but I found the players shirt, the way the guitar was being held and the window blinds a distraction.

Oh I see, so what you're saying is;
IF I had detached the guitar from the man holding it, OR
IF I had dressed the guitarist for the show, AND
IF I had re-oriented the entire club so that the stage area did not have a neon light hidden behind blinds at the back of it AND
IF I had been able to control how he holds HIS guitar in the middle of HIS guitar solos (which incidentally is exactly what he had to do to catch the reflections in the body of the guitar from the rest of the room and which is the main focus behind making the picture at all for me) AND
IF I had taken a picture of a guitar between two pieces of bread.

THEN you might have found this image more pleasing?

I think the blur works for the guitar player and I like the blinds. But it's the blur in the background and foreground that detracts from the shot for me (and that's just for me; admittedly my tastes are rather different). I would like to have seen the beer bottles and the background sharper. Just my two centavos.

Still the part I liked was the guitar and I would like to see more of the body of the guitar and those interesting reflections.

Being a musician myself, I had to check this out. The first shot is kinda cool. I think a little burning in of the mixer and the yellow sign on the left might help though. Shooting bands in clubs is very difficult - I've tried enough and I don't always get anything that I like. Not only is the light level very low, but the contrast is high. It's common to have a shot with no details in the shadows and burned out highlights. Because the lights are so close to the band members, if they move two feet the exposure is drastically different.

Not bad considering all the pitfalls I mention (and more)!
