An Old Rusty Truck and some Flash Gels.

What do you think? Very little PS work.

I like the green interior light sorta Steven King-ish but I'm not so keen on the yellow hue around the front of the truck, they don't seem to tie up. The other thing about this the horizon possibly a bit centred I'd liked to have seen a tad more grass and a dark gradient at the bottom.

Seems the truck is a little underexposed to me. I think if you balance the key light with the green light a bit, the truck will stand out a lot more.

Thanks Pete, thanks Tom. It looks a bit to dark as you say on my IPad. It looks much better from my PC but I will check out the brightness. Pete I did crop it some maybe I centered it to much. I can easily go back to the drawing board.

I like the green but not the yellow. Perhaps an alien hand reaching up or hanging out the drivers window would be really cool

Nice shot Greg. I like the 'cleanness' of your image here.

I'd have to agree on the yellow, just doesn't quite connect. But I do love the green, though I think I'd rather just see a hint of it instead of the entire cab filled.

One thing I would really like to see however is a little more space between the car and the bottom of the frame. No one else has mentioned it, but I think it's a tad tight.

That's a good observation GB. The first shots I took clipped the bottom portion of the truck out. It was very dark and I recomposed. So I agree with that. Maybe I can drop the yellow in Lightroom or somehow change it in PS. So I guess the yellow is voted out.

Martian (Mars = Red Planet) - Alien effect..? :cool:

The extra grass came about by extending the bottom of the image and using "Content aware fill" in CS5. It doesn't do too bad a job with rough textures like grass, but I cleaned up any obvious repetition with the cloning tool. Black gradient to finish.
I think the cloning tool would have done the whole job, but content aware fill saves a lot of time.
I hope you don't mind the other edits....:)

I liked the shot as is, and until I saw Pete's version, the yellow didn't bother me at all. That being said, it was a good image, Pete's version catapulted this shot to great. I want to try out some color gels now
