    Old Hollywood Glamour Shoot
First, let me say NEVER EVER EVER underestimate the value of a good makeup artist! These shots were taken about an hour apart, of the same woman, believe or not. 1)before
    2)straight out of the camera
3)final product (first frame of the shoot).

Think the model will be happy with it?

Gosh, what an incredible transformation. I think she has posed very well and the result is very good. maybe the light is a little strong on her hair and left arm, especially in the colour shot. However I know nothing about studio lighting, I must admit.
I do feel though, Jet, that the makeshift backrest is not very suitable here but you have handled it very well in the conversion which has the nice softness to it.
I like what I see here overall.

Looks good, Jet. Not crazy bout the b&w as the rim gets lost somhow in the dar, but the color version stands well and the lighting is very nice.
The MUA def goes a long way, as well as a little PS ing too :)
    nice work

Awesome work jet! I agree that it looks slightly bright. In the color version, the black bg looks a bit dirty, or something.

    Makeup RULES! Just ask Benjikan.
    Great work as always.
Did you make her head bigger in the B&W?
The lighting kicks in both of them......:)

I like the color version. The b/w softness kinda makes her look a 'lil heavier?

Thanks for the comments/input everyone! As mentioned, this was the first frame of the night, so I have about 60 more images to go through, sort, and select for retouching. No physical changes were made form the color to the B&W, just conversion, very minor healing brush and some soft focus effects. Lighting was not totally "dialed in" at this point, but I was just thrilled with the transformation Yaneth did on this girl :)

Excellent work by the MUA, and great post to show us what can be done. I know a number of photographers who say once they started using a good MUA, they refuse to do a shoot w/o one! Nice shot of her, though with that pose (relaxed) she could probably use a little more muscle on her upper arm/shoulder. Light's a tad bright on her cheek, but this can be softened (maybe) in PP. I prefer the B&W. Nice work
