I do a lot of upshots at trees myself. While I like the vertical framing that shows off the height of these trees, the colors seem over rich. I suspect this was an attempt to bring back a blown out sky with saturation. It has unfortunately infiltrated your shadows and given you away. It has some very abstract qualities though. Have you considered doing a long exposure with this type of angle to try and capture the way the trees twist and bend while their bottoms stand firm? Just a thought.
