October
Here is an isolated scene of the window and red leafed vines.
I know the window frame is not perfectly straight with the right side frame and it could easily be straightened in pp, but i feel it lends to the creepy mood of the window.
I thought hard about framing this and was ultimately satisfied with the result, but what do you think?
thanks,

Re: October
The lean does seem to add a little something to it. I also agree it has a creepy mood to it. I think it works very well as is.

Re: October
It does work very well. The crack in the glass and the chipped paint also add a lot to the scene.
It's a well captured image!

Re: October
I love it Gary....I didn't even notice the slight lean (and I look for that stuff). I am distracted by the leaves at the top tho. My eyes keeps going up there and I don't really want them to.

Re: October
Thanks for the feedback, Greg, Danic and Dana. I think I agree Dana in that there was a little too much at the top to distract, but I don't want to lose the hint of other leaves above either.
Here replacing the original is a slightly cropped version allowing a little more at the bottom and less at the top. I think it balances a bit better this way.

Just seen this and its a knockout. I love the composition and the subdued lighting
Print and hang.

Re: October
Very nice Gary. I love the inclusion of the three panels (right, top right and top). The leaves are lucsious red and a nice few dark 'spherical thingies' to break it up. This was one of the interesting parts of the rope shot u shared a few days ago and i'm glad u captured those leaves and that panel as a subject on itself.

Re: October
Very nice work Gary - as the others have said, the slight lean is not harmful in this case, but adds to the feel.
Cheers

Re: October
Roger, Liban and Mike, thanks for your time. I am glad to know that the slightly slanted frame is working ok here.
