I think it is great! Maybe a little dark but If you had lightened it up more the sky would have been blown out. I think you did a great job with what you were working with .

You really have a treasure trove of these old charmers. I like your framing of this alot. I would like to see the shack pop out some more. A better light would do it.
    Nice one.

nice compo greg...do you think you need all the dark trees on right(I should talk), how about cropping in between the first green pine and second to the right of shack and cloning out dead branches above in sky. Nice balance with the pines on left of pic.
Please ask to edit photos and I'll do the same!

Greg, I love, love, love the colors. The pinks in the sky and the house make such
a soft, peaceful place. Let's move there. We could build a bonfire to keep warm.NJ

    Nice one.
Sometimes it is not the time of day that makes a shot, but the day of the week or time of year.

Oh! Now this one I like.

The soft colors and lighting give it a real comfortable mood. If anything I would like more at the top as the trees seem a bit cut off but your crop really focuses the viewer on the structure.

    2 thumbs way up.
    No, I DON'T need that.

    Re: Broken House

Shooter Tiff, Thanks. Gary, Yes places like this are all over the place. It's the "in thing" to leave structures like this standing as a show piece of sorts. This one is on a very large estate / farm.
Rod, Yes I though of what you suggest but didn't want to do that much cloning. I have already removed a fence, pile of wood and a lot of trash. I also felt if I removed the tree it would center the house to much.
MB, Yes the tree is cropped tighter than I wanted put there were some limbs at the top from another tree sticking down. If you look close you can see some of them. It would have been a job to clone them.
Thanks all for the input. I am working on a series of places like this and need the help.

If you want to move there we better live close to a Home Depot by the looks of this place. I am not real sure I could find it again:idea:

greg, after further review...its a great shot. The different hues would look great blown up.
