Please critique this shot. Afraid nothing can be done about the top of her head be missing. As is, does it work?
And congratulate me....this is my first ever pic I messed around with on CS5 which I just purchased. LOL.

Re: Nicole
Lacking in all the colour, glamour, overt and unsubtle sexiness, unnatural and brittle air stewardess smiles, pouting lips, all the bloody make up, cliched "you need me" poses and "perfection" etc we generally see everywhere.. Did you manage all this in CS5? Please say no. God! I really am a grumpy old man.
Excellent and I love your approach. The paleness is very attractive as it borders between colour and mono.

Re: Nicole
very different. makes me wanna know what she's looking at. for that reason, it's very teasing. i like the composition and how you put her eyes near the edge. usually that doesn't work, but you made it work. the technicals of the photo are also well done.

Re: Nicole
Hmm. Her eyes are powerful and immediately draw one's attention. The rest of the shot isn't so alluring, as it seems soft and w/o detail. This could work great in a dreamy setting but the wall is too pedestrian for that, needs another locale.
I almost think that since the top of her head is out of frame that you should crop even lower, so to reduce the forehead area. But my quick check of that doesn't improve it.
You could always use CS5's miracle Context Aware fill to solve everything (sarcasm font inserted :))

I am also agreed with Overbeyond..... there are so mny things which are lacking in this photograph and all the things re mentioned by Overbeyond.........
Actually, if you read....Overbeyond was listing those things as a positive and not a negative.
Appreciate the critique though.

CS5 refers to adobe photoshop cs5. content aware is a really amazing new masking technique only found in cs5. if you go to youtube and search 'content aware cs5' you'll be shocked at how far photoshop has come ;)

Re: Nicole
great. thanks! will check it out.

Re: Nicole
Pose, color palette, and processing are great. The first thing that jumps out at me is that the eyes could be just a little sharper. Crop isn't a prob for me at all.
