It was actually more tense of a situation than it would appear. I was about 4 feet away from the open door. I was concerned that he would jump through the door before I could even get off the ground. Then all hell would have broken loose

I had composed this shot to have the opening centered horizontally in the frame. I cropped slightly to put the opening slightly right of center to give it some imbalance/tension. Hope it worked.

Terrific once again. Very well done! I concur with the previous comments but what makes the shot for me is your sensitivity to the DOF. The shot would not be the same if it were any deeper. Perfect!!

CF, the DOF is very tight indeed. It starts at the whiskers and ends at the far end of the eyeball. Threw out a few because the whiskers were nice and sharp but the eyes were juuust out. But you know me, if it ain't important, I blow it out or isolate it with a longer telephoto. Thanks for taking the time to comment.

excellent picture!! you could not have captured the moment any better. i especially love the shallow depth of field, the lighting.. and the fact that you got him with the nut. it's perfect!!
