a new series

i want to start documenting youth culture, in all aspects.. here is an example of a nightlife portrait

I think the composition is pretty good, but this picture doesn't really tell a story, the guy is too dark, and the blurred shaken background isn't colorful enough to be attractive as a blurred shaken background. Maybe you could use a tripod and slow sync flash to expose your subject and the background accurately?

Well, I'm going to disagree a little and say I do like the blurred background and the colors in it. It makes me feel like there's a lot of excitement and activity in the air. I do, however, agree that the figure in the foreground doesn't seem to be enough a part of the action, and there's really nothing about it that says "youth" to me. Still an interesting shot and it's away from the norm of what we usually see here. Nice work!

i think the part of "youth" culture i'm trying to show is not the typical view, but show what is going on in various sub cultures.
