    Got this one of this fat lazy puffadder waiting for someone to step on him !

    Small subjects close to the ground are tough. No less a puff adder! If you could have gotten lower and waited for a clear head shot it offers snakes perspective (use a big telephoto to be safe). This would also reduce the depth of field and soften the background. When shot from above it is too easy for the area around the snake to distract from what you are trying to show.

    Your knowledge is very helpful indeed .
    Never thought of trying to get a bit lower . I will do so next time .
    For this one though i was a bit to scared to meet him at eye level ! They say you are safe when you are about a body length of theirs away from them , but ....
