Girl on the edge of a cliff

This is girl is just inches away from the edge of the canyon - I had to admire her courage. She was posing for a photo that her travelling companion was taking.

Looks pretty precarious and you have shown that there is clearly a wind moving across the picture that also adds to the effect. I would like to see more contrast between the foreground and the background identfying that there is actually a big drop behnd your subject. The other main point to note would be the lighting, I am sure you could come away with something better if you could revisit this location again at another time of day, there's great potential with that skyline!! Thanks for sharing and keep on shooting!

Thanks for the input, much appreciated. Just now I did a small bit of lightening in photoshop of the general scene - about one half +EV I reckon. Plus I lassoed the girl and increased her contrast a little. Though I think now the scene might look a bit washed out. Unfortunately, it was a dark and stormy afternoon on the day that the photo was taken. And as it's in the middle of isolated outback Australia, so I probably won't have a chance to revisit for a while.

Interesting shot and welcome to the boards! I like this shot, yet I think it would be better if she was looking out towards the horizon or down into the canyon, and also, having her not so centered. The brightness helped alot. Well done,
