Another nice image of one of my favorite locations. Just curious, when were you there? I'm planning a trip there next fall, and I want to make sure I hit a time with good color. It looks like you have the start of some nice color in the trees in this image.
"I thought that because fewer wolves meant more deer, that no wolves would mean hunters' paradise. But after seeing the green fire die, I sensed that neither the wolf nor the mountain agreed with such a view."

I don't really know what to do with the horizon here MB, move to thirds and you have negative space water or sky. What would you do here? Water below, with dark shorline to the right, boring sky above....
Mike, I am there now. The third week of September seems to be the best time for color here. Jellystone seems to be a little bit ahead of the Tetons, this is the second time I have been here this time of year and there has been good color both times.

Life should NOT be a journey to the grave with the intention of arriving safely in an attractive and well preserved body, but rather to skid in sideways, chocolate in one hand, martini in the other, body thoroughly used up, totally worn out and screaming WOO HOO what a ride!
With reflections like that it is hard not to center a horizon. I like the natural Kodak like colors and the soft appeal of it. The mist on the left really adds to the mood. Nice capture.
I am like Barney Fife, I have a gun but Andy makes me keep the bullet in my pocket..
Beautiful capture! With reflection shots the horizon in the middle is just fine. In a way, the mountain tops are the horizon here and they are places 1/3 down from the top. So really we have 3 layers here. Sky, mountain, water. Nicely done. I think I would like the mountains to stand out a little more (contrast), but maybe not. Either way, it would be a shame not to have a large framed print of this.
I like the soft colors and in this case I think the horizon is just fine.
Less sky and the mountain would seem cramped. Less lake and the reflection would be cramped.
Nice image.
