    These three lads hid themselves in the mud next to the river prior to giving new arrivals by boat a hell of a fright. Any photographic value in this?

    It doesn't do much for me on its own. Your backstory helps. But I think this would work best as part of a set of images that shows the boys and their victims' reactions.
