Epic. I love it. I love the sky and the moon in the shot. Great movement. I can only say that i wish there was a little more detail in the palm trees, but honestly this is great.

Very creative, great angle, colors are really nice against the palms. More detail in the moon would have made this a 10 but terrific as is. Nicely done!

cool stuff. exif says 30 seconds, f/2.8, 10.5mm fisheye on a d80. great shot. night must have been really calm to keep those trees from moving....

I was thinking the same thing, Brent. No wind that evening. i agree that i would like to see a bit more detail in the Palms, and that can be done easily. Great work!

i'm surprised...This was one I let sit for a couple weeks..in fact, after processing last nite my wife gave me the crtique of..."...ahhh, its ok" to which i promptly closed it and didnt save. Any advice on getting less halo more detail with the moon?

I keep coming back to this one. afdlips is spot on about the movement. The sky seems to swirl around the trees. I think you deserve a sticky here.

I don't think more detail in the moon would help this photo - I like it as is and more detail could loose the WOW Factor which this has.

You have a wife like mine - no taste in photography

Very surreal. I like the shot, seems like the sky is revolving around the palms. I think it was a good idea to do a time exposure vs. a normal daytime shot. The only thing I'm not sure about is the moon, how it takes over the image somewhat. But what the heck - it worked.

This shot was around 10:30 at night ...veryyy calm...the 30 second exposure was why the moon was blowing out so much. Gave it a good 20 or so shots with different speeds and apertures. I wasn't happy with the framing but I wasn't going to wait up for a better angle....zzzzzz .....tired.
