model
A few more shots from a recent model shoot. The lighting was really getting bright by the end (~ 2:30 pm). The manipulated image was down in Corel PhotoPaint. As always, C&C welcome.

Re: model
I really like the treatment on the third shot GB. Mind sharing how it was done? My only nitpick on it would be her right hand being out of focus and just hanging out in limbo. Just seems out of place.

I agree with you, I like what I see but there needs to be something done with that hand.

Re: model
Xia / Tyson - According to Corel PhotoPaint's help section, "The Local equalization filter lets you enhance the contrast near image edges and reveals details in both light and dark regions. The filter uses neighboring pixels to create a stylized effect." I like it too, haven't seen any PS filters that do the same thing.
I think the hand might be blurred due to motion. The wind was blowing and she was moving her hands around to stop the hat from blowin' off. Unfortunately, I don't see how anything can be done with it at this pt... It's there for the duration.

Re: model
sorry GB, I just can't get into these because of the lighting/color. it's far too harsh and washed out. I understand that you didn't have any control on the lighting, which is too bad because it's a great location, I'd just like to see them reshot on an overcast day maybe with some off-camera lights.

Re: model
Afraid I'm with Brent on this one.
That girl needs some sun and food.

Re: model
It was a tough day for photography. We shot a lot inside the buildings which were fine, but the outside shots were a different story. Some folks have suggested reflectors etc to help even out the lighting, but I'm afraid even those might not have helped that day.
Food? There's a saying that a photography model can't be too thin, but I agree that she could hit a few buffets.

Re: model
Thks Mondo - seems that there's a consensus that the filter worked best here.
So now we all know that if you mess up a pic, it's still possible filter material. Something from nothing eh...
