    Minsk
I posted these (and some others) over on the viewfinder thread, but I wanted to run these past the group here to get your feedback. What works? What doesn't?

Perhaps most important for me, is there anything I can do to make them better?

    Thanks,

I commented on the first at your flickr account. I really like the first two and think they are fine. On the last one I think you should clone the lamp post. Nice work PC.

Greg - Thanks for the feedback. I saw your comment on flickr, but didn't recognize the username until I saw your stream and then realized it was you.

I particularly like the first one. The composition is excellent and orange really makes it pop.

The second scene is nice as well. Your saturation levels seem a bit off though. The green looks like it has been boosted quite a bit while the other colors seem disproportionaly muted.

The third shot I feel is the weakest of the 3. The lighting is nice but, the subject just doesn't grab me like the other 2.

Aaron - Thanks for commenting. I see what you mean about the greens on the second shot. I'll have to see what I can do. On the third I had real hard time capturing what I was seeing. For some reason they had these trees lit up with floodlights along the side of the road. There wasn't really anything else there, but I thought they looked cool.

Greg - Thanks for commenting again. I'm hoping that I have raised my personal bar a little, but I'm still nowhere near the rest of you. Regardless, I'm going to have to hire you as my publicist.:D

PC, these are fine compositions. I like them all. there are just a few minor points that I would suggest to improve upon them.

First image might benefit from a crop off the top windows just to the white molding. The windows keep pulling my eye up and away from the passerby whenever I'm down there peering over the scene.

The second image I would just crop out the horizontal break line of ice in the bottom. It seems to put a sudden stop to the flow out into the path. Just cropping a bit off the bottom to eliminate that brings a smooth flow out into the scene.

The third could just use a bit more space in front of the fg tree. you could easily expand your canvas and clone in a bit more ground. Just could use a slight bit more room there.
Other than these minor points that I see, I think these are all very good

I like them all, esp. the first two, and agree with some of the ideas on cropping. On the Park Path photo I am wondering how it would look if the path's vanishing point were either more perfectly centered or even less centered...one or the other.
