    Metairie Cemetery
I recently had a chance to visit the Metairie cemetery in New Orleans. After visiting I now understand why the location has been used in several movies. Here is what I think is my best shot of the day. Feel free to give constructive CC.

I like the processing but would like to see the writing and the cross better. Maybe a shot a little further to the left. I went to the cemetery several years ago and made the mistake of going in July. It was 111 degrees and not a shade for miles.lol

Agree with Greg, the epitaph on the monument adds to any cemetary shot, also your colour treatment is a bit different, not quite colour, and not quite B&W.

Yeah I see what you mean. I'll be going back next week, so I will try to revisit that section. Thanks for the suggestion.

Yep that was what I was shooting for in LR3. I feel that it contributes to the atmosphere of the shot. Thanks for looking and the suggestions.

The desaturated treatment really works well with shots like this, though I agree about looking for more dynamic angles. Also worth exploring this either earlier of later in the day when the shadows are longer and more dramatic.

I like the colors and effect, but although the angle is enticing and provides depth, I think it would be stronger if the viewer could see more detail of the subject.

Welcome to the forums too, questor886.
